Could hyperbaric Oxygen therapy get rid of your Tinnitus?

I live in the UK and I am not sure whether the NHS covers Tinnitus to be put forward for this kind of treatment however I am going to investigate further to see if this could help my dreadful Tinnitus sounds. Getting rid of Tinnitus or ringing in in ears is a total must for most of us who are suffering from disabling Tinnitus or very bad Tinnitus. Trying to live with Tinnitus can be like being in prison in your own head.

For some people it can be like torture 24 hours a day. And can lead some people to depression isolation,and for some even suicide.

Well this is very encouraging to all of us suffering with Tinnitus. You can defeat Tinnitus after all. In this Tinnitus video David Lam explains how he conquered his awful Tinnitus and is now cured.You can see an update to this video in the link below. 

For those of us that have had to suffer Tinnitus this is very good news. David overcame his Tinnitus condition by using Tinnitus retraining  therapy. 

Tinnitus retraining therapy helps you to work at changing the way you look and think about your Tinnitus. In time you train yourself not to hear the Tinnitus sounds,or ringing in ears.

 Although this Tinnitus therapy is available in most countries you have to pay for it. In the UK where I am based, as far as I can see ,the NHS have now stopped funding this particular Tinnitus therapy. This is a such a shame because those who suffer with disabling Tinnitus or debilitating Tinnitus may be so unwell that they cannot function properly and therefore may not be able to work or have little money to be able to afford it. 

But for me Tinnitus retraining therapy does seem like a good option and something I would like to try myself.( I will let you know how I get on with this later on).

There are other methods to try and combat Tinnitus. Dealing with stress is a major issue when it comes to Tinnitus conditions. And so doing Meditation,Tai chi,Yoga,having body massages and other body based therapies can also help with people that suffer with Tinnitus.

Some people may need to go onto prescription drugs if they are really suffering with debilitating Tinnitus. The doctors may offer antidepressants and or anti anxiety drugs to help reduce stress and thus helping to cope with the Tinnitus sounds in the head and ears.The goal is to de-stress so that the Tinnitus noises slowly decrease and the patient can then get back to a normal life without Tinnitus.

They may also offer prescription drugs for helping people to sleep. Many Tinnitus sufferers have problems with Insomnia and sleeping. There are also natural sleeping aids that can help if Insomnia becomes a problem.

Many people are suffering with Tinnitus of one sort or another. Tinnitus sounds or ringing in the ear sounds vary, but if you are suffering from a Tinnitus condition chances are you are probably wondering if you will have to put up with Tinnitus for the rest of your.

Many ENT specialists will tell their patients or clients that Tinnitus is due to damage to the ears and that there is no known cure. So you will have to learn to live with it.

This may be trying to mask the Tinnitus sounds with masking devices. And maybe taking anti depressants or tranquilizers to calm you down. Of course taking any prescription medication long term will have side effects and are generally not a good idea.

People are usually so desperate and frightened that they may go along with their health professionals advice. And the Tinnitus either just gets worse or Tinnitus sufferers just have to learn to put up with it. Unfortunately for some the Tinnitus sounds may be so loud or uncomfortable that they may take their own life.

So to find positive Tinnitus stories where people have managed to get rid of Tinnitus is really encouraging and inspiring for those of us who still suffer with terrible Tinnitus.

Many people who do find way's to cure their Tinnitus usually do this naturally with out the use of pharmaceutical drugs. People may find Craniosacral therapy ,meditation, Yoga, or

 Tai chi help them on their way to a Tinnitus cure.

I know this can be so difficult if your spiking or your Tinnitus is deafening as in my case(my Tinnitus story).But I too hold hope and belief that I can get rid of Tinnitus and lead a normal life again.

Tinnitus sufferers,will try almost anything to get rid of the Tinnitus sounds in their heads. Ringing in the ears,Tinnitus sound,the constant presence of Tinnitus noise can drive people mad. Quite literally. And so to find a Tinnitus cure. Or to get rid of your Tinnitus. Can become like a quest to become normal again. I should know because I have been suffering with Tinnitus,and then becoming disabling Tinnitus for over two years.The Tinnitus condition,slowly getting worse. My life has been turned upside down. Having said that I am very strong and will keep searching for a cure for Tinnitus. I will continue until I can stop Tinnitus all together. So I have made this Tinnitus video to show people what Vitamins,minerals,and supplements I have tried to get rid of my Tinnitus.

It has been a frustrating journey and an unpleasant one and not something I would have thought would happen to me. I am a health professional and I had heard of Tinnitus. But little did I realize how bad debilitating Tinnitus can be,and how it can affect people's lives. One thing to remember if you are starting out to look at ways of getting rid of Tinnitus or are looking for a Tinnitus cure. What works for one person may not work for someone else. So you may have to try a few different things to see if one of those is answer to curing Tinnitus. As you can see in the video I cover quite a lot of Tinnitus Vitamins,minerals,and supplements which I have used for fairly long periods of time. Tinnitus is a dreadful condition that many people suffer from around the world. People who suffer with disabling Tinnitus. Or Tinnitus in general want to get rid of Tinnitus sounds in their head. Dr Berg talks about problems with Tinnitus and having too much Insulin in the body and the effects this can have on your nerves and nerve damage. He recommends using a bio vitamin B supplement Benfotiamine.This Vitamin B supplement can help repair damaged nerves.

That is a reality for some people tinnitus can drive people to suicide

-- women in particular -- who suffer from severe tinnitus , new research shows The survey of 72,000 Swedish adults found that 9% of women who suffered from severe tinnitus had attempted suicide , as had 55% of men After analyzing the data, European researchers found that the association between ringing ears and risk for attempted suicide was only significant for women "It is important to say that an increased risk of suicide attempts does not mean an increased risk in suicide events," said lead researcher Christopher Cederroth, from the laboratory of experimental audiology at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm Also, only an association and not a cause-and-effect link was observed Cederroth added that he isn't aware of any completed suicides related to tinnitus "Our results reflect more the sex-specific psychological impact of tinnitus rather than a risk of committing suicide," he said

On the plus side, Cederroth said that the risk for suicide isn't significant for people who have had their tinnitus treated.

"Medical attention by a specialist may help decrease tinnitus-related distress," he said "Even though there are currently no treatments to get rid of tinnitus, seeing a specialist may help decrease the distress and diminish the risk of suicide attempts" Dr Darius Kohan, director of otology/neurotology at Lenox Hill Hospital and the Manhattan Eye Ear and Throat Hospital in New York City, reviewed the study He said that although the cause of most tinnitus isn't known, ways to help people cope with the condition are available

"Tinnitus can be very severe and debilitating," Kohan said, noting that it's a very common condition, affecting about 20% of the population.

He isn't sure why the association between tinnitus and suicide risk appears more serious in women than men Perhaps it's just the way the study was done, he said "It's old age and degeneration of the blood supply to the inner ear, plus hearing loss as the nerve cells die off," said Kohan

In addition, stress , caffeine and aspirin can cause tinnitus, he said.

Continued Treatment usually involves helping people cope with the condition, Kohan said Treatments can include cutting out caffeine and aspirin and also taking supplements such as ginkgo biloba or B vitamins In addition, patients can use various devices to provide a background sound to mask the ringing in their ears These can include white noise generators, an air conditioner, or even the TV, Kohan said This can be especially effective at night when tinnitus can be at its worst Other treatments that may work are acupuncture and cognitive behavioral therapy, Kohan said Patients can be taught to ignore the sound Some patients may also need antidepressants or anti-anxiety medications, he added Richard Tyler, an audiologist and professor in the department of communication sciences and disorders Iowa, said that most insurance doesn't cover treatment for tinnitus "It certainly is true that many tinnitus sufferers have severe problems with thoughts and emotions, hearing, sleep and concentration," Tyler said "Unfortunately, there is no reimbursement to the hearing health care field for counseling and sound therapy This is a major obstacle" The report was published online May 2 in the journal JAMA Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery.
