Meditation and Tinnitus. Once you are able to settle enough through body-work and practice I recommend meditation highly. This helps you stop getting lost in thought and particularly negative thinking when it comes to tinnitus. It is very helpful to learn to focus your attention on a certain part of the body too, learning to shift the focus away from the ringing. Best learned within a spiritual tradition such as Buddhism or Sikhism etc, meditation can provide you with amazing resources. Mindfulness is a good start but Buddhist Dharma Meditation, for example, provides an ocean of help. The key is developing awareness and meditation is one of the best ways to develop awareness of the mind.
